Water Features (KYAQ Audio)
Ross talks with Master Gardener Larry King about three different kinds of water features for your garden.

In this edition of the Lincoln County Gardner, host Ross talks with Master Gardener Larry King about three different kinds of water features for your garden: Pond (with waterfall), Pondless and container.

Adjacent to the main pond is a bog pond which will filter the water before it returns to the main pond. Featured Image shows a pond and waterfall under construction. Earth has been excavated and built up to show the basic contours. Then pond liner material will cover everything so that there is no leakage. Then the rocks (foreground) will be placed, then smaller rocks and plants will be added. All images are by Larry King.
This bog plant is planted in a floating container that will allow the plant to float at water level in a pond.
Plants and fish can add additional interest to your pond, but also require extra care.
A table-top fountain can add the sight and sound of moving water to your garden (and can come inside in the winter).
The simplest water feature (a bird bath) can still be a delight in your garden.
