Lincoln County Master Gardener™ Association

We're on the Radio

I think this is what hooks one to gardening: it is the closest one can come to being present at creation.”

Phyllis Theroux, American essayist, columnist, teacher and author

The Program

Lincoln County Master Gardener Association is collaborating with local radio station KYAQ to provide a weekly radio show. The focus is on sustainable gardening in Lincoln County. Each week our host (Ross McCann) interviews one of our Master Gardeners to discuss the science and magic that is gardening.

"The Lincoln County Gardener" airs weekly after the news on Friday's at noon and 4 pm. KYAQ is 91.7 on the FM dial.

About KYAQ

KYAQ became the first Lincoln County local Community radio station when it signed on the FM dial at 91.7 on January 3, 2014, serving listeners from Lincoln City to Burnt Woods to Yachats.

"This portion of the radio dial belongs to you – the local residents in its range – not to a for-profit corporation. In this way, KYAQ can to serve many informational and educational needs currently going unmet in Lincoln County. KYAQ-FM is a project of Firebare, an Oregon 501(c)3 corporation."
